Arthroplasty
Arthroplasty is a surgical procedure performed to restore joint movement and function. The treatment may involve removing damaged portions of a joint, reshaping or resurfacing the bones, and in some cases replacing the joint with an artificial implant. This procedure is commonly recommended for severe arthritis or joints that have been extensively damaged and can no longer function properly.
Joint Fusion Surgery
Fusion surgery is used to relieve pain and improve stability in joints affected by arthritis, injury, or significant deformities such as flat feet or high arches. During the procedure, damaged cartilage is removed so the bone surfaces can heal together in proper alignment. The bones are secured using fixation devices such as screws, plates, pins, or staples until the fusion is complete. Foot and ankle fusions are commonly performed to reduce pain and restore structural support.
Osteotomy
An osteotomy is a corrective surgical procedure in which a bone is cut and repositioned to improve alignment, shorten or lengthen the bone, or correct deformities. In foot and ankle care, osteotomies are frequently used to treat bunions by reshaping and realigning the bone near the big toe to restore a more natural position.
Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery
Although conservative treatments are often explored first, reconstructive surgery may be the most effective solution for restoring full function of the foot and ankle. Reconstructive procedures address a wide range of conditions affecting the bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and muscles. Advanced surgical techniques are used to improve mobility, reduce pain, and help patients return to daily activities with greater comfort and stability.
